Table Runner

I wish I could say that I did all of the beautiful applique work on this birthday gift! But I actually took a tablecloth that I had purchased at Anthropologie and cut it apart. I sewed a fun backing fabric on it to make a table runner.

Patchwork Pineapples

Another variation of the "Cub Crawl" baby quilt designed by John Q. Adams. This one is the Hawaiian version, featuring pineapples, whales, sea turtles, and hula-dancing owls!!

What Does the Fox Say?

This is my version of the "Cub Crawl" baby quilt designed by John Q. Adams. I chose to feature a variety of woodland creatures, including bears, bunnies, owls, and foxes.

Tuscan Forest

My own version of the "Tree Quilt" designed by Jolene Klassen. I decided to name mine "Tuscan Forest" because I chose colors that will blend in with the Tuscan-style home of the recipient.

Starflower Quilt

The Moda "Horizon" fabrics by Kate Spain took on a new life when used in the "Starflower" quilt as designed by Angela Nash. This is a fun one. When you look at the colors in the quilt, you see flowers. But when you look at the negative space, you see stars!

Echinacea Quilt

I enjoyed using the "Echinacea" fabric from Anna Maria Horner's "Pretty Potent" fabric collection to make this quilt for my dad. She makes some flannel echinacea fabrics, as well, so that became the natural choice for the backing!

Birthday Gifts

I'm not sure if these necklaces were more fun to make or more fun to give away as birthday presents!

Back in the Gnome Workshop

Seasons Greetings

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I've been making quilted journal covers this week in anticipation of holiday gift-giving. I'm almost ready to wrap them up and send them off!

It's December 1st, and there's a bit of a chill in the air. Time to open the first window on the Advent calendar, and time to kick the Christmas crafting into high gear!

After 2 1/2 years of being too busy to get around to sewing these curtains, I decided that they absolutely positively have to be finished before the end of the year, no exceptions! I have now finished four of the six panels--added some long ties at the top and hemmed the bottom. Only two more panels to go!
