Dan's Airplanes

When Heidi asked me to be the guest blogger for Heidi's Mountain Cottage, I had to think real hard about a craft I was good at.

Then I remembered I was always good at making paper airplanes.  My grandparents went to church an awful lot, and came home each time with a bulletin.  I always remember going to their home and making paper airplanes out of these bulletins.  The goal was to make a plane that flew well enough to get stuck in the rafters in their garage.
I've never made a paper airplane with a bone folder, until tonight

March Machine

I finally got my sewing machine back from the repair shop after two months!  My sewing machine took a long journey back to the Singer Corporation in LaVergne, Tennessee.  It seems to be working now, so I look forward to future projects.

March Moo-cows?

I've been so busy keeping up with Wisconsin politics, I haven't had much time to be creative.  But, I have been appreciating other people's creative efforts.  For instance, these are the "Solidarity Cows" at Wisconsin's Capitol building on March 12.  They marched around the square in support of labor unions and working people.

March Musings

It's March, it's still cold, and winter isn't showing any signs of going away soon.  I can't take any more snow photos this season--I just can't.  So, this week, I'm reverting back to one of my favorite photos that I took at Big Beach on the island of Maui.
